- Includes funding for national rail projects carried out by the ARTC and $1.3m provided to the RTA for construction of the Queanbeyan bypass with the ACT being the major beneficiary.
- In June 2006 an additional $2.4 billion was provided for road and rail and local council projects. This comprised:
- $1.8 billion for improving roads on the National Network (included in National Projects)
- $307.50 million for improving local grants
- a $270 million grant to the Australian Rail Track Corporation
- Estimate.
