Total funding allocation for the period 2004-05 to 2008-09 is $9.8 billion, comprising:
-
$8.2 billion allocated to the states and territories for road, rail and intermodal construction;
-
$1.5 billion for road maintenance; and
-
$98 million for national rail projects and the upgrading of bridges so they can bear heavy vehicles.
